Meet the Owner: Audrey Williams

When did you launch?
I have been in the floristry industry for over 18 years but I only ran my business part time / ad hoc around looking after my children. I started to work fulltime on my business in September 2020, after completing my BA with Honours in Professional Floristry and Floral Design earlier that same year.

How and why did you come up with the idea?
I have always been a creative person, but I fell into floristry quite by chance. A florist didn’t turn up (but the flowers did) to an event I was catering for over 18 years ago. The client of the event asked if I could decorate the table, which I did. A guest at that same event asked me to do the flowers for another upcoming event. Ever since then, I have been known for flowers.

What barriers / obstacles did you have to overcome and how did you do it?
One of the barriers I came up against whilst growing my business was gaining new customers. To address this obstacle, I used social media and I am currently a guest host on a radio show.

What is different about your product and brand?
When everyone is choosing squares, I always choose triangles. It is important that I offer a product that is original and beautiful. My designs seek to bring to life my clients’ vision, whilst ensuring that my unique creative flare is woven through every design, product and service I provide.

What are your plans for the future?
I am currently working on a new television show and developing my Youtube channel.

Are you looking for funding / investment?
Not at the moment but would consider it for the future.
